A new video shows a disabled Dachshund, Anderson Pooper, racing able-bodied competitors in a wheelchair, at the Star 101.5 Weinerdog Races at Emerald Downs on July 13, 2014!
Footage shows the Doxie wheeling as fast as she can through the mud.
While she didn’t win, Anderson Pooper proved to a big hit with spectators at the race.
Mr Sizer, her owner, says that the animal loves to run whenever she gets a chance.
‘We’ll take her to the coast and she’ll run on the beach and we have a hard time keeping up with her,’ he told
Her hind legs were left paralyzed after a freak accident and the Sizers had a custom-built wheelchair made for her. Because of her disability the dog also has to wear a diaper that requires changing.
